Why This Reference Exists
Printed directories no longer answer every present-day question, but Kingston's underlying public sources still exist in separate places. The City Assessor connects property information to a parcel. The Ulster County Clerk maintains land records. The Board of Elections, court clerk, registrar, Kingston Library, and New York State Library each have their own access rules and coverage. Bringing those routes together makes it easier to start with a name, street, parcel, or historical address without pretending that one result proves more than it does.
What the Kingston Directory Offers
Each directory page approaches the material from a specific record question. The By Street page follows address-keyed records; City Directories identifies the historical collections; and Resident Lookup distinguishes the official routes for one person. The reference also identifies the offices behind the records, access alternatives when an index is not online, and restrictions that limit public display.
Links point to the custodian, library, archive, or public portal whenever the research supports them. Search results, source dates, and access conditions can change, so the office holding a record remains the authority for confirmation or a certified copy.
What This Service Cannot Do
Kingston Residents Directory is privately operated and has no connection to a Kingston office, Ulster County department, New York agency, court, library, or records custodian. It cannot verify a person's current residence, retrieve or certify a record, change a roll, or decide a legal dispute. Only the responsible custodian can correct or authenticate a record.
Information here is not a consumer report and may not be used for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions. Confirm each record with its custodian and never use it to stalk, harass, or harm anyone.
